Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
I adore this movie wholeheartedly. It felt so raw, so genuine, a modern day mid 90s. I wasn’t around for the time period this film was set it, but i have felt and resonated with lots of the experiences this movie shows off. Hopefully more movies like this are made, movies that aren’t just for money or have a bulky celebrity cast, instead movies born from, filmed, produced and shown of for a passion for the media, and the messages it presents.
Numerically: 9/10, pretty good

DAN DA DAN: First Encounter 2024
Literal. Fucking. Peak. I cannot get enough of the artstyle, the vibes and how closely this encapsulates the essence of the manga. I have genuinely not been this amazed by an anime since mob psycho 100, this makes me so much more excited for the rest of the series.
Only downside is the very gross beginning of a young teenage girl getting her clothes ripped off but do not let that detour you, she sure as hell gets her getback not even 5 minutes later.
Live laugh love, Dandadan. Numerically, it’s a 9.7/10, holy hell, absolute cinema
