Now I have become bored, goer to sleep.
The movie begins with an allusion to Prometheus - the god of foresight who brought humanity fire, arts and technology. Zeus in his anger punished the titan by chaining him to a rock, where, hanging as a proto-christ-like figure, he contemplates if humanity was worth the cost his gifts.
This is the way Nolan mythologises Oppenheimer before the film even begins.
