Letterboxd & Oscars Best Pictures (1927-today)
Interesting premise and surprising that it was actually willing to get as dark as it did, especially given the time. Louise Brooks is fantastic and gives life to a character that otherwise doesn't really have much to offer. Definitely has its moments but I think the act structure made most scenes drag on longer than they should have.

Did I need to see this? No. Did I want to see this? Also no. Did I enjoy seeing this? 🤷🏽
It's fine, prob would've enjoyed it more if the best parts weren't in the trailer that I was forced to see a thousand times.
I'm sorry but Jack Quaid having any sort of tattoo is the most unrealistic thing in this whole movie.

Fun but also gets serious but also a genuinely good showcase of the blues.
