Whywolf!
Oh dear! Poor Frank. Just never seems to pick the right movie.
Action scenes are not shot well and the whole thing just feels chopped to pieces.
Well that was a film.
Chris Evans does not sell being a deadbeat, no matter how much stubble he grows.
Dwayne Johnson didn't phone in his performance; he drew it on the back of a receipt and left it near the set.
Every time she looked towards the camera I was expecting Lucy Liu to look right down it and mouth "I'm sorry."
And J K Simmons didn't have enough screen time to bring anything.
And yet...It was still big-dumb-fun, and I kind of enjoyed it. 🎅

Not what I would call Takashi Shimizu's best output. The story is there, the creepiness is there, (most of) the acting is there, but the overall execution was not engrossing enough, to the point that I was happy to watch it split over two days - Ju-on on the hand, slapped me, tied me to a seat and forced me to experience the whole story in one sitting. Somehow the end felt both rushed and drawn out at the same time, which in itself I suppose is an achievement, and the chase/transformation scene felt repetitive and ultimately an anti-climax.
