Has a greatest hits of J-Horror vibe. Not really distinct but if you are in the mood for that kind of thing it does a good job! Rather strange tone with the ending though tbh!

Man I really thought I saw this one before but it must have been a different "evil hair" movie. Pretty strange. It's not totally a horror movie, more like a comedy or maybe a fairy tail with horror elements. Definitely some goofiness involved. It's not successful as a comedy, but when it leans into it's scares it can be pretty compelling. A really uneven movie overall, it gets a half star extra because it's fun to say you watched a movie about evil hair extensions. I hope I can remember the other one like this I saw some day.

Crime Wave 1985
Once in a while you see a movie, and once the credits roll you realize this is something you will try to convince your friends to see the rest of your life. This is how I feel about Crime Wave. I tend to like stories sort of “about” movies and the creative process, so the little that I had heard of the premise sounded like something I would probably enjoy. I did not however expect to be so totally charmed…
