As a jew, Lazlos story was immensely powerful. There are many scenes in the movie that jews watching see even deeper into through subtext that we know from our history. Finding out at the end that his architecture is a manifestation of his trauma from the concentration camps really sent it home. Adrian Brody did such an incredible job and his commitment to fighting antisemitism both through his roles and in public is refreshing and powerful.
