Anora 2024
"Sean Baker doesn't judge Anora for being a sex worker, but is that enough?" No. No it's not. Mikey Madison was a marvel and she truly made this movie tolerable. Visually it was beautiful, like most of baker's films. Aside from that, Anora lost focus mid-way through the movie. Her character lacked depth and motives. I really wanted to like this one but I couldn't enjoy a movie "about a sex worker" that totally focused on the men surrounding her and put her character in the background.
