I remember after watching this for the first time, I simply could not stop thinking about it. As I rewatched tonight, it seemed like every few moments there is a different line or conversation that hits home harder than the one before. It builds up to the most perfect ending, which in and of itself I could spend hours dissecting and thinking about. I don’t think there’s any other film out there I feel this closely aligned to, it’s incredibly genuine and overall just a really beautiful watch.

Cinema Paradiso 1988
Simply the greatest of all time.
It’s too hard to put into words how much this film means to me, and how much I connect to and appreciate this story. The cinematography, the soundtrack, and the relationships explored are unmatched to any other film I’ve ever seen. On top of that, it’s the most impressive dedication to the power and love of cinema - without being overly cliché. The scene of Alfredo saying goodbye followed by the most stunning ending montage leave me with chills every single rewatch. It just gets better and better.

Before Sunset 2004
I really adored this. The conversation throughout is authentic and effortlessly flows between simple anecdotes and then larger, more meaningful discussions between two interesting people. I also appreciated the time waited to make the second film, felt like a true and creative way to continue their story. An impressive and enjoyable sequel <3
