The Children Act 2017
What a hot mess this was. This movie simply doesn't know what it is, or what it should be: is it a drama about a couple's difficulties to maintain their love for each other? about a woman whose dedication to her work prevents her from having any relationship? about having to make difficult choices every day for a living? about a young man who struggles to find a balance between his faith and his newfound life? you decide! Or... throw everything…

Three Colours: Red 1994
So disappointed. I found the movie completely devoided of the humanity it desperately aims (and pretends) to possess — or at least to reflect. Everything feels forced, fake and manufactured to spark some emotion. Sadly that never comes: the dialogues ring hollow and the characters are only pale versions of what they could be if they were written competently. And the end feels like the cheapest way of tying the three movies together, with no subtlety whatsoever and a deus ex machina, pretty convenient.
