I think when a movie with a scene about 2 rocks with googly eyes can make you sob violently you know you've done an excellent job at capturing pure emotion. it's truly the first movie I've seen where that extraction of feeling has been framed so perfectly- that Longing hits so hard on a universal level, and without a doubt it was the best movie that year.
