Im going to leave the horrible representation of Mexico aside and just evaluate the movie itself...
IT WANTS TO BE A THRILLER, A MUSICAL, A SOCIAL DRAMA, BUT EVERYTHING GOES WRONG. THE SONGS ARE AWFUL AND INSTEAD OF ADDING, THEY TAKE YOU OUT OF THE STORY. THE CHARACTERS ARE SO FLAT THAT IF YOU LOOK AT THEM FROM THE SIDE, THEY LOOK LIKE A POORLY RENDERED NPC.
Gotta admit I wasn't expecting a plot twist, the twist was realizing I’d just wasted two hours of my life.
