A rather tired Rural-Urban dynamic aside this is one TENSSSSE film. The proverbial Hitchcockian bomb under the table is definitely at play here. So consistently uncomfortable in all the best ways and it builds at the perfect pace before a very satisfying release. Performances are great - Macavoy is deliciously excellent as always - characters are intelligent, fully rounded and resourceful. A really gripping time at the cinema.
