David Fincher is so talented, you can watch this movie 3 times and still not notice all the details he included, all the foreshadowing. I find it a bit mindbreaking.
The pacing is really good, you always have some action scenes, all this while not being overwelmed with cheap stunts and explosions. Balance is key, and I think it is nailed in Fight Club (dialogs, action, larger shots).
Is it smart and intellectual cinema ? I wouldn't necessarily call it that, but is it a great movie ? Most definitely.
