  Fairly disappointed with it could have been much much better. Still a good film but pales in comparison to the Werner Herzog adaptation. With poor pacing and eye rolling freaky sex scenes 🥴.

  Aswell as wooden acting from Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
   I can’t work out aswell if Lily rose-Depp isn’t great at acting or she got fucked with shit writing and direction.

  Very disappointed though Eggers chose to follow this story beat for best but with shitter pacing.

  Barry Keoghan just seems he doesn’t want to be there the whole film . and ofc they drink at The King. Beautifully shot. Shame it was written by someone who probably keeps a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey under their pillow.
  Rewatched a few times - a lot better than I remember, really well shot, still lacking a lot and still feels style over substance when you look at the whole film together.
