Nosferatu 2024
As a fan of the Dracula story and an admirer of Robert Eggers, Nosferatu was easily my most anticipated film of the year. It's incredibly good looking and very well acted, yet it may just end up being my least favourite of the three Nosferatu films. Its fidelity to historical accuracy ends up robbing the story of it's gothic surrealism and horror.
It is good though, but I do have my reservations.Translated from by

Alien: Romulus 2024
My first experience with ALIEN was at the age of 10 when I pressured my dad into buying the DVD from a bargain bin in a hardware shop. It has remained one of my favourite films ever since.
I was cautiously optimistic about Alien Romulus. More than anything, I just wanted something fun. My expectations were mostly met with this being a very "back to basics" sort of sequel. For better and for worse. It by no means stands shoulder…

Maria 2024
Great looking with a good lead performance. I think parts of it are maybe a bit too obvious . I never felt as though I was invested in the story of a real person and instead engaging with a film tailor made for the awards season
Maria Callas is a naturally interesting figure and I would love to learn more about her, so I guess the film succeeded there.Translated from by
