  I have a hard time when a movie portrays a fictional artist/celebrity and does its best to sell you how good/important/iconic said artist is but then you hear the music/see the art/etc and it’s almost always laughably bad for something meant to inspire cult-like devotion. Apologies to Nile Rodgers and The-Dream, but this movie did not dispel that notion and Malkovich was a bizarre choice to portray a reclusive pop star when it appears he cannot sing. He can do…

  Robert Blake is a perfect little Lynch freak and Patricia Arquette is a perfect Lynch bombshell. This movie is a nightmare (complimentary).

  As someone who tangentially works in the live music business, I couldn’t stop thinking about how fast they’d get sued with that staircase popping up in the middle of a floor aisle that had no one guarding it and no markings or barriers to ensure no one was walking over it when it opened up.
