  Stellar performances from Lakeith and Daniel. It’s impossible to take their eyes off of them as they just fill the screen with charisma and the embodied tension of their circumstances. I’d recommend simply for Fred Hampton’s story which the film does a good job at representing as a pillar in BPP’s history. I had no idea he was so young. Unfortunately, the women's stories aren’t really given that much depth but seem to function as emotional place holders for the male leads.

Following
