War for the Planet of the Apes 2017
This movie had some of the best 3D I’ve ever seen, the visual achievement alone is cause to watch. The mostly silent movie that trusts the audience by not including subtitles for the sign language used was wonderful and refreshing. The later acts of the movie suffer a bit when its apocalypse now homage serves to highlight just how unlike that film it is. Definitely worth a watch in 3D if you can find a way to do so.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Was refreshing to see something on this scale allow breath for the image and the story, maybe having read the books helped fill in gaps but to me it was told simply and effectively. The humor was refreshing, the images were stunning, the designs were well built, the sound design and score bone rattling, action sequences were well folded in. Would recommend for a good time.
