John Wick 2014
A great action movie but that’s all it really was. Maybe it’s on me for going in expecting something more but I just wish there was more in depth character building and interactions. That said to the films credit it knows what kind of movie it is and delivers on that well; I just feel it’s the slightest bit overrated

Whiplash 2014
A very engrossing film with a primary focus on only two characters. Some might see this as a disadvantage but through the very tightly focused emphasis on student and teacher the film fleshes out both characters in a way that both gets and keeps you engaged in a way other films just don’t.

Foul Play 1978
I’ll admit parts of this film’s humor can get a lil too simple and others didn’t age so well, however it’s a decently funny film with a very good sense of tension and thrills without that being made the only thing the movie has to offer. Would recommend.
