This movie is very special. It works as a ghost story, and also as an inwards exploration of trauma, of people who have left and are no more than memories. At first I thought that Adam was purposely trying to overcome his pain, by regularly "visiting" his parents, but it soon evolved into a melancholic and necessary exploration of his relationship with the ghost of his parents and how he craved their long-gone affection.

The Lobster 2015
Inside this strange world that Yorgos and his team create, there is a central question. What would we, in this conditions, do for love? The main character, to me, is ultimately a projection of the possible answers that we can have for that question.

This is Yorgos at his strangest and most philosophical, and also depressing. Very reminiscent of his early work, Kinetta and Alps. I also loved that Rachel Weisz is at her element here, just like in The Favorite. I hope she continues collaborating with Yorgos.
