Despite some clever murders (death by hot dog water!), this was fairly dull overall. And the big twist ending I had heard so much about was just fine — it’s no “Sleepaway Camp!”
It does have my favorite unintentionally funny use of “thrice” in a horror movie, though! (B-/C+)
Absolutely mesmerizing from start to finish, with three fantastic performances. Truly gorgeous, and a film I’ll remember for a long, long time. (A)
Really odd giallo that kinda works, kinda doesn’t. First part is horny as hell, then it gets oddly melancholy, which creates quite a strange marriage. Still, there’s germs of a great movie in there. Bonus points for featuring the goofiest death scene I’ve seen in a while. (B-)
For me, it was like other Fulci films I’ve seen: well-made but not terribly involving. But what a cast of hot Italian mens. (B/B-)
