I could see what the film makers were going for here and there are a few tense scenes. The problem is it suffers from a silly script and some bad acting.

Nocturne 2020
I'm not sure exactly how I feel about this film. There's a lot creatively going one throughout the film, but it's a bit hit and miss for me. Sidney Sweeney gives a good performance. The problem I had with the film is that it's full of it's own self importance for it to be enjoyable.

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel 2021
This should have been a 90 minute documentary film about the tragic death of Elisa Lam and how her mental health was a contributing factor. Instead we get a 4 part documentary series and is more interested in the bullshit conspiracy theories by the online sleuths and the backstory of the Cecil Hotel. This documentary series felt very crass and should little respect to Elisa's family.

Luckiest Girl Alive 2022
This is a film that deals with gang rape, school shootings and wealth disparity. The film tries to juggle all these themes and it struggles to do so. Mila Kunis is good here. Unfortunately the other acting performances feel like they belong in a Hallmark film. The film does have some brutal scenes that makes you think, but they feel disconnected to the rest of the film. The problem here is the story feels scattered and some parts don't make any sense. The tone is all over the place. The film makers' hearts are clearly in the right place. Unfortunately they made a messy film.
