a film about the healing power of both brotherhood and art as well as an examination of masculinity amongst men incarcerated under an unfair system. coleman domingo and clarence maclin both gave such strong performances here. as much as i cried i really loved the message this film has to offer

pretty extreme portrayal of the monotony of daily routines and the compounding effect of life's unfortunate events on a persons psyche. as bleak as it may be there is some truth here, and i think that’s part of whats so unsettling
