Az a film annyira megvetően ellenezte a katarzis szinte bármilyen formáját, hogy átment a gyászfantázia másik oldalába, ahol nem egy sírós beszélgetéssel és ölelkezéssel vedlik le a karakterek a traumájukat, hanem mint az érzelmileg beragadt androidok próbálnak haladni valamerre szellemben-lélekben, de egyszerűen nincs hova nekik, mert az alkotó elvi okaiból…

Brokeback Mountain 2005
Kinda expected this to be good, but it was even better. Really like how it’s not just a romance film but with the ending also explores how romance isn’t just a self-contained thing existing in a vacuum, but something people can actually learn from to live better/happier lives. I’m just a sucker for depressing films with hopeful endings generally tbh
Also dig how this isn’t just a gay film but also a guy film through and through.
