A very nice intersection between kitchen sink and British gangland thriller. Nothing is glamorous but the film still has some heart. Amazing that Georgia Groome spent her formative years hanging around Brighton shooting this and Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging. From a victim of sex trafficking to a 'bitch in uniform' :/

I just don't understand why directors want to limit their films with gimmicky filmmaking. There is so much to enjoy about this film but the near constant use of the first person perspective really undermines it. Solid performances, nice camera work, and really beautiful sound design were positives for me but having the cast intentionally breaking the fourth wall at all times added nothing for me and actually took me out of the viewing experience.

Who knew a film about one man cutting a bloody swathe through the cute furry wildlife of the Midwest could be so fun?

My film of the year so far, unbelievably creative and hilarious. Blends homages to early cinema and loony tunes with fantastically imaginative physical comedy.

Faye Dunway rocks some of the most fucked up eyebrows in the history of Hollywood. File this with LA Confidential under 'noir masterpiece tarnished by the involvement of a scumbag'
