I did media studies for 9 whole months so believe me when I say……this is perfect writing. There was not one loose end - Ms Ungermeyer finding out about Gordo lying, Matt being ordered to leave the country for blackmailing his sister (😭), Kate eating carbs for Ethan, Sergei leaving Paolo, Lizzie getting grounded, THE GREATEST COUPLE OF ALL TIME SERGEI AND MS UNGERMEYER……everything was covered.

The film beginning with Lizzie embarrassing herself, dancing/singing in her room, and ending with…

“you made it to 78” 🥺🖤

raging that this film didn’t get the recognition it should have. im not even someone who listens to the Beatles regularly, but i can acknowledge the significant impact they had on music and pop culture. this film captures that legacy phenomenally, celebrating the Beatles’ music and recognising it’s importance to this day.

i think one of greatest things about Yesterday is the working class environment - it celebrates the phenomenon as it truly was.…

one of those films that lowkey changed my life for a split second there. because why tf was i watching all these characters deal with the realities of sick and estranged family members, poverty, death, etc and thinking “maybe i SHOULD have children actually…” that’s when you know a film has captured something special.

THIS IS WHY EVOLUTION IS MY FAVOURITE THING IN THE WORLD. i cried no less than 4 times. life is so heartbreaking but it’s so so so beautiful. i love life so much 🩷

heartbreakingly funny. a very interesting take on generational trauma and a realistic portrayal of how family member’s respond to each others issues, disorders etc. bit TOO realistic at times. perfectly written characters, relationships, and dialogue.

writing this review from a pub because my boyfriend and i needed a drink to VENT about the last 103 minutes

    • what kind of adults talk like that
    • the entire script sounded like a 12 year old’s high school drama class being forced to do improv
    • WHO TALKS LIKE THAT

na not being funny, they’ve stolen this straight from my diary. what do u mean this has bears, risk management, university admissions, mary poppins, singing nuns, boats, bingo, the el dorado myth, found family…..literally all of my favourite things?!?!

I love Paddington sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. Nothing can compare to the love i have for that wee bear, I’d die for him 🫡

Also….the person who came up with that end credits scene has singlehandedly reached the peak for comedy. The way i was screeching in the cinema should be illegal
