  Wildly entertaining until it gets kind of emotionally heavy and then entertaining again.
  I enjoyed this movie a lot more than I had anticipated. A solid concept that is elevated by great acting, strong writing, and unique creative decisions that drive the plot to fun places. This film does a really great job of being a good time without sacrificing any of the intensity of the subject matter or the central theme. A theme that I found to be slightly more profound than just your usual "don't abuse women😜".
  I'd definitely recommend Companion, and it greatly benefits from going into it as blind as possible.

  I genuinely want somone to explain to me what makes this one so much better than the first because I cannot understand why people have decided unanimously that this is the best movie of all time when part 1 was just "people walking around sand doing nothing". I really like both of these movies but the 2nd one is just more of the first no??

  A fantastic opening act that leads to nothing but disappointment.
  The film so effectively creates intrigue right out of the gate. The first several scenes are nearly flawlessly executed, exuding mystery and anguish that begs the viewer to brace themselves for a treacherous story ahead. Unfortunately, the story ahead does absolutely nothing unique and instead rehashes themes and ideas that horror movies have been covering for decades at this point.
