Absolute masterpiece. Seems so ahead of its time. Not an absolutely perfect movie but to be honest a lot of its flaws are because of when it was made and that it is in German (try and watch a version with more visible subtitles than ours).
The film is surprisingly funny as well which is an added plus.

This film feels more like a historical documentary than a film. This setting is absolutely stunning and the film looks amazing. I do have a slight issue with the aspect ratio used. I get that the director is trying to mirror the old photos that were inspiration for the film but I don’t think the aspect ratio always works for capturing the enormity of the environment our characters find themselves in.
