A movie that has stayed in my mind for far longer than I expected. The characters and dialogue seem simple but mask a profound understanding of that feeling of being trapped in a place and time where you feel so useless and lost and yet you know there must be more to life than this.
Many years ago I was given Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played With Fire as a birthday gift. I began reading it without knowing anything about the book and was surprised and enchanted by the way characters and plots were presented; no noticeable exposition just going all in on the story letting the reader figure out the details through context.
