  Despite me being an avid hater of Melanie Martinez’s music, somehow her music itself was the least awful thing about this movie. The acting is horrific, the script is unbearably corny, and the plot is weaker than weak. It’s wildly obvious that the entire 6 million dollar budget was spent on its aesthetics, which I have no problem with in theory, but every other aspect is so weak that it’s impossible to ignore. Too bad we can’t give these 6 million dollar musical film budgets to actually good artists who don’t write disingenuously about trauma they never experienced themselves.

  God I need a older woman to teach me to not be a socially anxious mess. Anyways Alejandro & Elizabeth are the two opposite sides of neurodivergence and I love them so, so dearly for that.
