  Enchantingly sophomoric and I mean that as sincere praise. When I first watched this as a 14 year old it instantly became my favourite film and I thought it was the deepest thing ever. Watching it now as an adult I think nothing will ever so perfectly capture the feeling of being adolescent; the things I thought were cool, the unspoken incomprehensibility of life, the powerlessness I felt, and the experiences and anxieties that resonate through my life even now.…

  Criminal how boring most of this movie is considering the joy of the pod racing bit. Definitely the best looking of the prequels but still goofy and stunted in its cinematography and hideously framed most of the time.

  Literally 3/4s of its run time consists of uncomfortable racial stereotypes. That one watto line still makes my jaw drop. Why did he race swap the Vietnam war??

  The pod racing bit is legitimately cinematic gold though. For one brief beautiful moment…
