That was really something. Completely switched gears at the halfway point which only made me appreciate the slower pace of the first half more.

Definitely don’t want to watch again any time soon. An hour and a half of deafening explosions and blood. Super realistic (I’m gonna assume) and excellent performances.

Definitely a classic. I think the film relies super heavily on its ending, but not much happens before then.

Who’s to say they didn’t have socks on the whole time?

A little bit over complicated, but a very good send off. SPOILER: I like how they kept Ethan alive, unlike James Bond, so he can live happily ever after 😊

Sally Hawkins is a lovely British actor and this is a lovely British movie.

Czech premiere in Prague. Cool theater. I think if it was written and directed by Danny Boyle instead of only directed, it would’ve been better. No shade to Alex Garland though, I still like his work.

Watched this on a plane. Cried. I crode on the plane. Don’t get me wrong, City of God is great, but I think this is the only movie I’ve seen that’s set in Brazil and doesn’t feature kids with guns. It was nice to see a non-sensationalized version of Brazil life. Pretty somber film though.

Watched this and finished The Rehearsal in the same day. Feeling weird in a good way.
