    It was good, but very weird! The editing and pacing of it was spot on, and the attention to detail in almost every shot was a sight to see. Marvelous from a cinematic point of view. The ending sort of sours it for me however, as it feels somewhat sudden and just a bit anticlimactic. It feels like one of those “let’s get started and figure out the ending later” movies. Despite that, it’s definitely worth a watch. Top notch acting performances across the board as well; Simon McBurney, Nicholas Hoult, and Lily-Rose Depp were especially brilliant.

    A nice childhood movie that was a nostalgic rewatch. Plenty of moments that went right over my head as a kid that were funny to see now as an adult. Ultimately it’s a kids movie so the parts that were kinda cringey and unfunny don’t take away from it. There’s nothing that really puts it over the top, but for what it tries to be, it doesn’t really get anything wrong. A good Christmas time watch!
