Glassland 2014
Not sure what’s up with all the hate for this on this app, but I thoroughly “enjoyed” this character driven story. A delicate portrayal of a son’s unwavering selflessness towards his mother and community. The acting is stellar from the ensemble, Jack Reynor being the standout of the cast. Clocking in at a clean hour and a half, I thought the pacing was superb and had me gripped the entire way through. Only drawbacks were some predictable stylistic choices in cinematography and editing in the early part of the film. Otherwise, a moving story about the battles that we go through to fight another day.
