In my view, this movie is for gangster films what The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is for westerns. This is such a classic and the artistry behind each aspect is still astounding. Easily one of my favorites of all time—deserves five stars just for the “funny how?” scene itself. Recommend for wiseguys.

College academia is, I think, beginning to make a permanent mark on my psyche—I enjoyed this, and I feel like a nerd for liking it and now craving more of its ilk. I’ve grown to appreciate the art of journalism the more that I’ve both immersed myself in it and have tried my hand at it myself. ★★½

This movie may not be great but by god I wish they still made more like it. The utter chaos and hilarity of everything in this movie partly emphasizes the low quality, but also make it tolerable. Definitely a product of its time, but in a fun way. Not all of the bits land today, and some go on far too long, but it’s just a good time. Clearly written by a stuntman though. Recommend for fans of boobs, Burt Reynolds, and property damage.

This is the greatest, possibly the only, movie of all time. They titled it Cocaine Bear and carried that same energy throughout the whole movie. At this point all of the other directors should honestly just give up and start over. We need more movies like this that don’t take themselves seriously in the slightest because it is hilarious. Overall, Cocaine Bear (2023) is a contemporary classic in the making that will be doted on and thought over for decades to come. Recommend for the cocaine bear.
