Honestly I was excited for a disaster mini series and turns out I was actually watching a drama full of lame stories and the deaths all had their “you were right” last comment to their family before they go. It was honestly stupid. The disaster didn’t even happen until the last episode too. My face the whole time: 😐

A Quiet Place Part II 2020
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
It wasn’t horrible, to my surprise. Emmett (Cillian Murphy) and his dynamic with Regan (Millicent Simmonds) was nice and thought out. I would’ve liked more backstory about the people they find on the island or with the weirdos they find on the docks. I do wish the monsters were scarier tbh, they look like the basic “spooky monster with things on its head and long body” trope which got really annoying after Stranger Things.

Honestly? I thought this was going to be another lame 90s drama but I’m fuckin blown away. It’s erotic, and there’s psychological twists. You think it’s one thing and then another. The ending was mid but it served its purpose and I think it closed the movie well.

My all time favorite foreign horror film. The disparity to feel and look younger while struggling to maintain a relationship that isn’t even working out in the first place is the forefront of this film. All the while, Aunt Mei is cooking mysterious (and expensive) dumplings that claim to help you look/feel younger.
