  It does not mince words. So often the horror genre relies on a combination of abstraction and allegory, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but Kendrick decides to present reality. It works.

  Casting was excellent.

  I don’t entirely understand the order of the scenes, but it didn’t hurt the movie. To be fair, I can’t think of a better way to cut everything together.

  I’m not a big fan of these stories that rely on insane levels of misunderstanding and contrivance, but I will comment on some things.

  Not a big fan of the Chris Pratt guy. Proposing with a fortune cookie is weird.

  I think the venue could have done more to rectify their mistake.
