  Entertaining but really quite shallow in its address of beauty standards and the way older women are discarded. The social commentary fell rather flat. There's a fine line between satire and perpetuating what you aim to satirise and at times it falls into the latter.
  The spectacle however is very fun. Demi Moore was absolutely fantastic.

  We went to see this at the cinema on a whim as I'd travelled and our plans got cancelled, and I'm actually glad our plans got cancelled so I got to see this. Haven't read the book in over a decade (and I was only 13 so far too young to understand what was going on) but I was just utterly captivated by Daniel Craig's performance as William Lee/Bill Burroughs. Adored the sound design and soundtrack choices too, the sequence with Come As You Are playing gave me goosebumps.
