Trying to achieve the American Dream is Brutal, it’s a journey that will strip you of everything ! It’s also a journey that is unattainable, a facade to make one believe that this place is a dream to live in when it can often be a nightmare. Beautiful film! Often the topic of past loves in one’s life is a taboo topic within a relationship/marriage, it was good seeing a film that explored this. Loved every moment, and loved that they both got closure. Her husband is so emotionally intelligent/secure, I really admired his support while also being honest about his feelings as well. Deff a new favorite movie to add to my list!

“ This one moment when you know you’re not a sad story. You are alive. And as you stand up and see the lights on buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And you are listening to that song, on that drive with the people you love the most in this world …and In this moment, I swear we are infinite”.

Infidelity is fueled by desire! Shame is something the main character has to work out with herself and her therapist more in detail ( this has to relate to her upbringing in a cult). I felt that there was lots of self sabotage, but other than that this film was great. Loved the way it was shot and the exploration of domination/submission.
