“Miyazaki will keep making movies. No matter what it takes, he’ll go on. He made that choice a long time ago. Stop whining and get moving.” -July 14, 2023

This was an emotional documentary and helps you understand Miyazaki and Takahata’s relationship. The editing was a little jarring like in Never Ending Man but I started to vibe with it by the end.

You see a lot of Ghibli’s C-Suite in the nude than I’d have anticipated, so that’s a bonus.

I could watch this every year.

Depressing as shit but it’s amusing at times and worth another watch. This is really just about a few crazy / sad folks living out retirement.

Pacino just goes and goes and goes and goes. If you love Pacino it’s great to hear him talk about some previous roles, mostly on the stage. But he rambles. If you want grandpa Pacino to talk to you about acting in a semi-coherent way this is for you.  I liked it and will watch again after a few years.

An excellent documentary worth watching again. The interviews were great including some footage of Bernstein.
