  A heartbreaking meditation on senility and abject loneliness. Akerman is a master of the form, and her career-long observation of the daily rituals we undertake to keep living comes into sharp focus with her final film. Her style and pacing leave something to be desired if one expects a neat bow tied around their documentaries, but for those seeking (admittedly obtuse) substance rather than dinner-party talking points this must not be missed. Empathetic to the extreme and therapeutic for anyone living without anyone.
