The Brutalist seeks to become the quintessential biographical epic and in part succeeds in doing so. There is a sense of scale and grandeur which is captured beautifully as we see László Toth’s story unfold before our eyes. While the story does feel important it sadly lacks the payoffs one would naturally expect for a film with a 3 and a half hour runtime. A Complete Unknown 2024
Timothee Chalamet showcases some of his best work in a film that struggles to justify its own existence. For long stretches A Complete Unknown has little to hang its hat on with uneven pacing separating a handful of solid sequences. However it is Chalamet along with a solid supporting cast that keep an otherwise bland narrative afloat. Musical sequences are thoroughly well crafted constantly serving as a highlight all the way throughout the film’s runtime. A Complete Unknown is solid but fails to live up to expectations with a narrative that leaves a lot to be desired.

The Flash 2023
I think thats enough multiverse superhero movies. The Flash is fun and has some heart. It definitely does not justify the hype that the studio had artificially created for it. Good moments throughout the films runtime especially when Michael Keaton’s Batman is on screen. Main gripe with the film is a specific version of a character that will most definitely annoy and turn off audiences for most if not all the time he’s on screen.
