This hit harder watching it in the empty cinema i used to go with my grandma all the time, since it was so close to her house.
She passed away in early 2022 and i haven't gone back to this cinema since that same year, until now; i cried like 3 times.

Liked it even more this second time, even doubted on raising it to a 4.5
Luca's filmmaking decisions are so thrilling to watch, the camera movements, the fantastic score, the eroticism and rivalry between the three main characters that manifests through tennis, plus that tense and stimulant final match.
Maybe some lines of dialogue are kinda flat but each one of the three leads have distinct and interesting personalities. Specially Josh O'Connor's fascinating performance that really fleshes out the character and whom you can't take your eyes out.
I can't wait for Luca's other projects.
It frustrates me rating this because the great funny scenes are truly great but the many obnoxious elements are too much to ignore.
Its definetly entertaining throughout (most) of the film, with much to say about the movie industry and nice celebrity references of the times. Definetly loved the exploration of the change in Hollywood from the silent era to the talkies, and how in many ways the 1930s were more conservative than the 1920s.
