I love this. The fact that she filmed it all on a camcorder and does this study about trash is very connected. I think she wanted to show how amazing it is to be able to be film litterly anything in contrary to the days with old cameras. She even put in the shots she made on accident, with the lense cap. It feels like research footage at some times, a bit too unstructured sometimes maybe, but that’s the point aswell?
Very interesting film.

Amazing film. Got to check out more of this roberto dude… no glossy, shiny, fake stuff- real people in the real streets of post war rome. He shot this film on the streets of rome just 2 months after the occupation of the nazis!! That’s crazy!!
Made with poor equipment and no money. handheld shots and different quality of the images made it feel almost like a documentary. I also liked the acting of the kids and the priest a lot.
