As European as it can get, the movie is quite beautiful.
Paris in the 60’s and the memoirs of the author.
Was shocked to learn about the massacre of the Algerians in a rally in Paris, and loved so many aspects of her bohemian life in the city of light. It was a time of hope and promise.
And Paris is always Paris.
Saw it today in Lisbon Doc festival.
I like Bourdain, but I’m not really a big fan.
That said, I think the movie comes out as honest and we can get to know a little bit about him. I enjoyed his younger years before he got famous.
I think he was a no bullshit guy, but a very complex person.
