  A fresh retelling of a tale as old as time. Content warning: parental loss and child abuse. The music and animation were stunning; each song gave me chills and the virtual world of U was a kaleidoscope of colour. This coming of age story blended well the typical hardships of being a teenager amidst a world of social media apps. Usually I don’t purchase movies I haven’t seen first, but this was a gamble that paid off. Sure to be a film I rewatch over the years.
