Weathering with You 2019
movie review aside, I was so excited for this movie to come out but realised I had nobody to go with—I was wrong because my friends all came to watch this movie with me. I remember how it felt like everything made sense when I looked down the row of seats in the theatre and saw my friends, incredibly uninterested in the movie, pretending to enjoy the movie for my sake. weathering with you came out in 2019 and I still love my friends today

Maybe I’m just not deep enough for this but I thought it was a drag and the peak of the movie was simply the scene at the bar. Nora is frustrating and feels unlikeable because she treats her Asian heritage like it’s a bunch of hocus-pocus. Maybe that’s what they were going for and again I’m just not deep enough for this. Really sad because I really wanted to like this movie.
