If you're ever embarrassed by your early creative output, do what Zia Anger did: turn it into a docufiction that slides between registers and celebrates creativity even as it dwells mercilessly on the eternal cringiness of youth.
If you follow this film's logic far enough, there's a universe in which all the characters are real people who go out to see this movie and find themselves subject to the bewildering experience of watching their own lives played out across infinite universes. There are also universes in which this film exists but it stars you and me attempting to defeat the nihilistic rift at the heart of existence with simple human kindness. Best of all, there's a universe in which the Blu-ray of this movie is already out and I can watch this thing repeatedly at home.
