Before I went and watched it myself I first thought this was a horror film. I was quickly told it wasn't and that I needed to watch it. I put it off as I do and soon enough it won Best Picture. Everybody was raving about it and saying how it was the most uncontroversial hands-down best picture in a while.

It probably seems preposterous that I had not seen this film before. Before going in, I thought I'd at least seen a scene or two when I saw my dad watching it but apparently not. Anyway, I finally saw this (thanks Netflix!) and I am very glad I did. It might actually have been a good time for it, in terms of stage of life.
