She went to Antarctica. It's not a spoiler because it's the first scene. Am I a Judy Greer heretic if I say that James Urbaniak is the real mvp here? I gotta speak my truth.

I've wondered before if Anna Kendrick is offer only.

The Cups Song and the accompanying audition scene in Pitch Perfect could be the scene that Kendrick is most widely known for as an actor. It features her breezing in late and leaving the auditors gobsmacked because she didn't prepare the material they asked for, but what she performs is way cooler, but also it's whatever because she doesn't care and thinks she's above the whole thing.

    Thoroughly unrateable.

The Jurassic Park of half-baked Italian bullshit.

I want to open with a mild criticism to make myself sound smart, but you know what, this movie is way more compelling and dynamic than most family dramedies, even before taking the Dogme 95 "vow of chastity" into account. I saw it about a decade ago and I had a decent memory of the events of the film, but there was one line of dialogue I had forgotten about that made me literally yell while I was watching it.

More movies where sexism is depicted as a pervasive atmospheric discomfort, instead of One Clearly Defined Issue/Person.

More movies about groups of women supporting each other, professionally and emotionally.

More movies with complex black women as the protagonists.

More movies where the local hangout is better than the soulless corporate tentacle in some respects but it's still not great, because the boss is still a boss.

More movies with butch women who don't exist as a joke or a threat to feminine women.

    More screaming.
